I've spent a few hours perusing some interior decorating/decorator websites and it's transported me to a fantasy world where I have lots of money and lots of space - not to mention a place of my own! Then I spent a while searching through websites about affordable design and dealing with small spaces, and I realized that I don't need a lot of money or a lot of space. Jon and I just need a place of our own to share and we'll make it ours in whatever way we can. (I know: ew, barf. Sorry.)
Speaking of me and Jon and living together, we're leaning back towards getting a house with his two friends. There are still details to be worked out, but the pros way outweigh any cons there may be to having flatmates. Plus, I get to realistically fantasy flat-hunt for real houses instead of studios! And I've been finding places (in our price range!) with gorgeous kitchens and sometimes even gardens! Oh no - something else to daydream about: gardening!
Wow, I sound positively optimistic. This is a change!
